Do you enjoy working in a fast paced, hands-on and physically demanding environment? To be successful as our next Goods Flow (Forklift Diver) Co-worker, we need you to have:
• Experience in driving forklifts (high reach & counterbalance) and hold a valid forklift (LF) license (preferably at least 2 years of forklift driving experience in a fast-paced warehousing environment).
• The ability to think and act in a safe and efficient manner, to ensure smooth goods flow operation.
• A passion for optimising supply chain and logistics operations.
• A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently.
• Strong customer focus, ensuring we keep the customer in mind no matter what we do.
• As our store trades 7 days a week, you have the ability to work a spread of hours, as early as 6am to as late as10pm as well as 3 out of 4 weekends.
Your responsibilities
As a Goods Flow (Forklift Driver) Co-worker, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Contribute to the highest goods availability for customers by the correct and on-time execution of the store goods flow tasks.
• Demonstrating a safe and efficient approach to secure that all stock is in the right place at the right time.
• Working with a hands-on approach where you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty, in a fast paced and physically demanding team environment with tight deadlines.
• Handling of goods using different types of forklifts to complete tasks such as storing/retrieving, replenishment and internal transportation of stock within the store warehouse.
Together as a team
Logistics co-workers contribute to a smooth goods flow operation in the store and warehouse and a great meeting with the customer in all sales channels by ensuring a consistently high availability of our offer, with the highest quality. Contributing to optimised goods flow operations in the store by working in a lean and simple way, using and sharing good examples. Through this role, you will broaden your knowledge and understanding of IKEA by seeing where it all begins, with the arrival of the flat pack into the store, then onto the shelf and into the customer’s trolley.
What you need to know
This opportunity is permanent, part-time/full-time, 60-76hrs/fortnight, located at the Springvale store. The base hourly rate starts $24.93 plus penalties.
